How many cameras does a house need?

It depends on the layout of the property. Cameras usually go at the entrance, driveway, gate and garden, and we settle the number on the visibility plan after the site visit.

How long are recordings kept?

As long as the recorder's disk allows. That depends on the number of cameras, the resolution and whether recording is continuous or motion triggered. In a workplace, footage of employees may be kept for no longer than 3 months under Polish labour law (art. 22² of the Labour Code).

Can the cameras see at night?

Yes. The cameras have infrared illumination, and some models show a colour picture after dark as well. Night range depends on the model, and we choose it for the mounting spot.

Wired or wireless cameras?

Wired IP cameras powered over PoE are more stable and never need charging. Wi-Fi cameras work where a cable cannot be run. We recommend a solution after the site visit.

Does CCTV need to be registered anywhere?

Private home CCTV is not registered with any authority. When cameras cover areas outside your property or the system runs in a workplace, GDPR applies, and in a workplace also art. 22² of the Polish Labour Code, including signage and informing employees.

Q: Can I install a camera in a block of flats or a stairwell?

Inside your own flat, yes. A camera in the stairwell or on the facade covers shared areas, so the housing community or cooperative has to agree. A door camera should not cover the neighbours' doors.

CCTV is more than cameras. The system also includes a recorder that stores the footage, cabling, power and the network that brings the picture to your phone. We choose each part for your property instead of selling a ready-made kit.

In Warsaw we install CCTV in houses on the edge of the city and in nearby towns, in flats, shops and offices, and in residential buildings. In a block of flats or a shared building it matters that the camera covers only your part, so we set up privacy masking.

After installation we check the picture by day and by night, set the recording time and motion alerts, and then show your household or staff how to use the app.

Before we drill a single hole, we draw a plan of your property or premises and mark the field of view of every camera. Blind spots show up straight away, as do the areas that need masking so you do not record the neighbours or the street.
