What if an employee loses a card or fob?

It is removed from the system and stops working, and the employee gets a new one. No locks need changing.

Will the doors open during a power cut?

That depends on the lock. A magnetic lock releases the door when the power goes, while an electric strike, depending on the version, keeps it locked or unlocked. A power supply with a backup battery keeps the system running for a while. It must always be possible to get out, so we choose the lock and exit button for each door.

Can access control record working time?

Yes. The same reader logs entries and exits, and the software turns them into a working time report. It is worth deciding before installation whether you need it, because it affects the choice of controller.

Can a business use fingerprint readers?

A fingerprint is biometric data. The Polish Labour Code allows an employer to process it in two situations only: when the employee provides it on their own initiative, or when it is necessary to control access to particularly important information or to premises that need special protection. In most businesses cards, fobs or codes are enough.

Can a phone replace the card?

In some systems, yes: an app opens the door over Bluetooth or the internet. This works well where you do not want to hand out cards, for example in a small office or for visitors. Cards and fobs stay as a backup.

Can access control work with an intercom or alarm?

Yes, where the devices allow it. A fob reader can be built into an intercom panel, and the system can be set so that entering with a card disarms the alarm in that zone. We plan these connections when we prepare the quote.

What is included

Who goes in, where and when

An access control system is made up of readers or keypads at the doors, a controller that decides who may enter and when, electric locks and a power supply with a backup battery. We choose each part for the specific door: its construction, which way it opens and whether it is on an escape route.

Permissions are set for people, doors and hours. Staff get into the office on working days, the administrator also into the server room, and the cleaning company only in the evening. A lost card stops working once it is removed from the system, so no locks need changing.

The same reader can log entries and exits for working time records, and a fob reader can be built into an intercom panel. We plan these connections before installation, because they decide which controller we choose.
